She is an Amazon, a native south american warrior from a tribe made only from women. they cut one of their breast off so it wont hinder their bowmanship. They were known for the vicious attacks on the Amazon River agains europeans invaders. Some believed they were supernatural beings for their strengh and it helped perpetuate the Myth of the Amazon.
