Histoire et Destins - Le Garde du corps de Massoud

This biographical story takes us alongside a soldier from the former USSR in the middle of the war in Afghanistan. Taken prisoner by the Afghans whose cause he will espouse, he will become the bodyguard of Commander Massoud.
Bystrov arrived in Afghanistan in 1983, where war with the USSR raged, when he was 19 years old. Taken prisoner by the Mujahedin, convinced that he was going to die, he won the confidence of Commander Massoud to the point of becoming his bodyguard. He will return to Russia in 1995, but will always blame himself for having abandoned Massoud, the victim of an attack on the eve of the September 11 attacks.
